Elon Musk's net worth fell to $957 billion, removing him from the ranks of trillionaires, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The decline followed a 3.9% drop in SpaceX shares to $148.57.
SpaceX's market capitalization slipped below $1.99 trillion for the first time, dropping the company to seventh place among the world's largest publicly listed firms. The slide marks a sharp reversal from the June 12, 2026 listing, when SpaceX raised more than $85 billion and reached a valuation above $2.9 trillion, briefly surpassing Microsoft and Amazon.
Since the IPO, SpaceX has shed roughly $550 billion in market value from its peak. The 2026 public offering had made Musk the world's first trillionaire and created more than 4,000 new millionaires among the company's employees.
