KIRKUK, Iraq โ€” North Gas Company, based in Kirkuk, issued a written statement addressing oil sector reforms announced by Prime Minister Ali Zeyni. The company said recent measures should align with the requirements of field-level oil production and maintenance operations. The statement, which followed a reform package Zeyni unveiled at the eighth Baghdad Dialogue Conference, said the Oil Ministry had confirmed that workers' rights and benefits, as well as maintenance and production needs, would be protected. North Gas Company described the measures as a time-limited application that would be assessed and reviewed once the period expires. The company stressed that providing conditions required for maintenance and operations in line with technical standards is a priority for facility efficiency and production continuity. In a message to oil sector employees, it called on staff to act patiently and responsibly in carrying out their duties and to support the stability of production and operations. No further details on the specific reforms or their implementation timeline were immediately available.
