The Israeli military said airstrikes in Lebanon in recent weeks have killed more than 10 field commanders of Hezbollah, the Iran-backed group. The army said the commanders had taken part in operations against Israeli forces.

The statement added that Shiqif sector commander Nasser Shuqayyir and his deputy Ahmed Sablini were killed within 12 hours of each other, with Sablini having been appointed to lead the sector after Shuqayyir's death.
Other Hezbollah field commanders killed in recent operations, the military said, include Bint Jbeil sector commander Ali Abbas, Litani sector commander Kamil Yunus, Hijr sector commander Fuad Musa, Jibshit sector commander Hussein Salami, Hayyam sector commander Ali al-Hayik and Qana sector commander Muslim Harb.
