JERUSALEM โ€” Israel's Security Cabinet has approved the entry of an International Stabilization Force into Gaza under U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the war, Israeli media reported. The force is one of four structures outlined in the plan to administer the territory. The United Nations Security Council authorized the force on November 17, 2025, through Resolution 2803. According to Channel 13, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir voted against the decision, arguing that Hamas had not honored its commitment to disarm and that the solution lay in encouraging emigration. Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said the plan must be followed and that any failure should not be attributed to Israel. Hebrew-language broadcaster KAN reported that the decision amounts to a de facto green light for establishing the force's deployment center near the southern Gaza city of Rafah. Hamas said that persistently raising the disarmament issue contradicts the Trump plan.
