BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraqi Stars League clubs are moving quickly through the summer transfer window ahead of the 2026-2027 season, completing new contracts, renewals and coaching changes. Electricity Club has tied down Hamid Ali, Hussein Najm, Samer Salihi, Ahmed Ayid, Ruben Akwa and Lucas Santos by extending their contracts, retaining the core of its squad.
Karbala Club, returning to the professional league, has appointed Ali Abduljabbar as head coach, while Maysan Oil brought in Haidar Obaid as its new manager for the coming season. Zawraa Club officially named Basim Qasim as its coach, replacing Luay Salah.
In player movement, Mixed Club signed Ala Saad, Younis Ghani and Congolese professional Cibola, while also renewing contracts with Layth Sacid, Karrar Amir, Eyad Mudawin, Mohammed Abdulqadir, Helu Faiq, Ali Mahled, Ali Muhsin, Sajjad Jasim, Ibrahim Saade, Emvri Faisal and Muammil Abdulridha; Mahmud Hudayr left the club. Port Club added Iraq national team defender Saad Natiq along with Mohammed Dawoud and Hasan Ali Bari, parting ways with five professionals.
Air Force Club signed Congolese player Tosila Kisinda from Port Club and extended Mustafa Waleed's contract by one season. North Gas Club reached a deal with Ahmed Abdulridda, Zaxo Club signed Diyala's Muhtada Hassan, and Mosul Club renewed the contracts of Ekram Rahim and Samer Muhsin.
