BAGHDAD, Iraq — BAGHDAD — Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zeydi received an invitation to visit Tripoli from Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid al-Dbeibah, his office said. The message was delivered in Baghdad by Acting Libyan Foreign Minister Tahir Salim al-Bagur during a meeting with al-Zeydi, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and reviving the third session of the Iraq-Libya Joint Committee, which has not convened since 2001. Al-Zeydi said Iraq is determined to build the strongest possible ties with brotherly and friendly nations, pointing to opportunities for cooperation in economic integration and sustainable development. The talks also covered coordinating positions within the OPEC+ framework and expanding cooperation in economic, security and information-sharing areas. On the same day, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein held separate talks in Baghdad with al-Bagur, welcoming the conclusion of a real-estate file concerning an Iraqi-owned property in Tripoli under Dbeibah's directives. Hussein noted that Iraq had completed two property files belonging to the Libyan Embassy in Baghdad. No date was immediately given for the prime ministerial visit.
