The Iraqi Football Federation has signed a formal health partnership with Spitar Orthopedic Hospital as part of its preparations for the 2026 World Cup. The agreement makes Spitar the national team's official medical partner during the build-up to the tournament and throughout the finals hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico. Federation President Yunus Mahmud said Spitar had already stood by the national team during the qualifying campaign and would provide important support during the World Cup preparation phase. He said the partnership was intended to strengthen the team's medical backing as it moves through its next stage of planning. Under the agreement, the hospital will provide treatment, rehabilitation, care and medical monitoring for the Iraqi national team during the preparation period and during the tournament itself. Medical support will also be provided during the squad's camp in Spain. Spitar will assign seven specialists to travel with the team, including two doctors, two physiotherapists and two masseurs. The federation said the arrangement is part of its broader effort to ensure the team has continuous medical coverage ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
