Iraqi Airways resumes Basra–Delhi flights after Baghdad route restart

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraqi Airways has resumed its Basra–Delhi air route, the state-owned carrier said, with one weekly flight scheduled every Tuesday starting 18 August. The company said the route had been temporarily suspended in early March because of regional conditions and is being reopened as stability has been restored and travel demand between Iraq and India has grown. The Basra–Delhi resumption follows the earlier restart of the Baghdad–Delhi line. Iraqi Airways said it continues to expand its network of destinations and routes between Iraqi airports and international hubs, with more than ten new or reinstated routes opened over the past two months. The airline did not provide further details on fleet deployment, ticket pricing or additional destinations under consideration. No further information was immediately available on whether the frequency of the Basra–Delhi service would be increased in the coming months.
