BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring said on Thursday that hot summer conditions would continue across the country, with clear and sunny weather expected in most regions and scattered clouds in northern areas. The agency said temperatures would remain near the previous day's levels, with high readings forecast across large parts of the country, including Baghdad.
The authority urged the public to take precautions during peak sunlight hours, particularly those who work outdoors, the elderly and people with chronic illnesses, emphasizing the importance of adequate fluid intake. It also advised residents to limit exposure to direct sun during the hottest parts of the day.
The agency added that dust events were possible in northern regions and could reduce visibility. No further operational details were provided in the statement.
