Iraq Trade Minister Orders Expedited Payments to Food Transport Carriers

Trade Minister Mustafa Nizar al-Ani has ordered the immediate settlement of outstanding financial dues owed to transport carriers responsible for delivering essential food commodities. During a meeting with carrier representatives from Baghdad and other provinces, the Minister addressed payment methods and the resolution of pending financial claims. Al-Ani instructed relevant departments to finalize all necessary administrative and financial procedures to ensure payments are disbursed as quickly as possible. The Ministry emphasized the critical role carriers play in the national food supply chain and affirmed its commitment to meeting all financial obligations. These measures are intended to maintain stability within the transport and distribution sectors by ensuring adherence to established payment procedures.
