Iraq to see temperatures near 50°C next week, meteorology agency warns of dusty conditions

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Meteorology Authority said temperatures will rise across the country next week, with dusty conditions expected in several regions. The agency forecast mostly clear weather on Monday, with light dust in central and southern areas and moderate northwesterly winds. On Tuesday, cloud cover is expected in eastern parts of the country, with daytime winds reaching up to 30 kilometers per hour and temperatures remaining similar to the previous day, the authority said. On Wednesday, temperatures in central and southern regions are forecast to climb by a few degrees, while the north is expected to see no significant change. Thursday is forecast to bring clear weather with light to moderate winds and steady temperatures. The Meteorology Authority recorded Monday's highest temperatures ranging between 44°C and 50°C across the country.
