Iraq to See Partly Cloudy Weather and Light Rain During Eid al-Adha

Iraq is expected to see periods of cloud cover and light showers in some areas during the Eid al-Adha holiday, with the north and west set for increasing cloudiness toward the weekend. The weather pattern matters as the country enters a five-day public holiday, from Tuesday through Saturday. Partly cloudy conditions are expected to dominate in the northern and western provinces, while scattered light rain may affect some locations. Winds are also forecast to shift in direction and speed, with northwesterly winds strengthening at times from Friday morning. Those stronger winds could raise dust in desert areas, especially in exposed regions. Temperatures in the north and west are expected to remain more moderate than elsewhere. In the central and southern cities, daytime weather is expected to stay relatively warm, while nighttime conditions should be more stable. Public institutions are scheduled to resume work on Sunday after the holiday ends on Saturday.
