BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Authorities in Maysan province have ordered public institutions to suspend operations on Thursday to avoid disrupting ongoing student examinations. Education facilities were exempt from the order so that exams already underway could continue without interruption, officials said.
The decision was made to prevent the exam calendar from being affected, with education institutions set to operate on a normal schedule during the testing period. All other government bodies across the province will observe an administrative holiday on Thursday, according to the directive.
Officials said the measure applies province-wide and that all relevant public units are required to comply. Once the examinations conclude, schools and other education institutions will resume their regular academic calendar, authorities added, saying necessary arrangements had been made to keep learning activities on track.
