BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Meteorological Organization said high temperatures and dusty conditions are expected across the country throughout the week. In its forecast, the agency said Sunday will be mostly clear nationwide except in the eastern parts of the northern region, with light shifting winds in the north and south and moderate northwesterly winds in the central region causing light dust in some areas, while temperatures rise compared with the previous day.
Monday is expected to bring clear weather across the country, with partly cloudy conditions in the afternoon over the northeastern areas, and temperatures near the previous day's levels, according to the agency.
Tuesday will see partly cloudy skies over the eastern parts of the central and northern regions, with temperatures rising slightly in the central and southern areas and remaining close to the previous day in the north. On Wednesday, conditions will be mostly clear with some cloud cover in parts of the central and northern regions, temperatures edging up slightly in the center and south and unchanged in the north.
The Meteorological Organization said Sunday's highest temperatures will range between 42ยฐC and 48ยฐC. No additional details were immediately available.
