BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's State Administration Alliance held a meeting at the presidential palace in Baghdad, attended by President Abdul Latif Rashid, Parliament Speaker Hebat al-Halbousi, head of the Federal Supreme Court Fayiq Zaidan and Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, according to a statement from Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani's press office. The meeting reviewed preparations and objectives for Sudani's upcoming visit to the United States, with participants discussing the expected outcomes in light of Iraq's national interests. Attendees voiced full support for the government's and the judiciary's anti-corruption campaign, stressing that it must proceed in line with the law and free from political or selective motivations. The alliance also reaffirmed its commitment to consolidating arms under state control, strengthening the rule of law and reinforcing the authority of constitutional institutions. Participants called for adopting a language of dialogue and reconciliation on regional files, avoiding conflict and escalation, and pursuing security and stability through peaceful means.
