Iraq's Meteorological Authority said temperatures will climb across the country on Monday, with partly cloudy and hot conditions and some cloud cover in northern areas. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly compared with the previous day, the agency said.
On Tuesday, weather will remain partly cloudy nationwide, with a general drop in temperatures. A moderate northwesterly wind on Wednesday is forecast to exceed 40 kilometers per hour in the eastern parts of the south, raising light dust, while central and northern regions see similar temperatures and the south cools by a few degrees.
Thursday's outlook calls for partly cloudy skies, winds reaching 40 km/h in central and southern areas with light dust, and a slight rise in temperatures. Horizontal visibility is forecast at 6–8 kilometers in clear conditions and 3–5 kilometers during dusty periods. The agency projected Monday's highest temperatures between 39°C and 51°C nationwide.
