Iraq's meteorological agency forecasts springlike weather through early next week

Iraq's Meteorological Authority said on Saturday that spring conditions would persist across the country through the beginning of next week. It forecast generally clear skies on Sunday, with northwesterly winds of moderate strength in central and southern regions reaching up to 40 kilometers per hour and possibly stirring light dust. In the north, winds are expected to be light to moderate. Temperatures are set to rise by several degrees in central and northern areas, while the south will see little change from the previous day, according to the agency. On Friday, central and southern Iraq will see light to moderate northwesterly winds, with light and variable winds in the north, and temperatures rising slightly nationwide. Saturday and Sunday are forecast to bring similar conditions, with mostly clear skies, light to moderate northwesterly winds in the center and south, and light variable winds in the north. The authority recorded maximum temperatures for Sunday at between 39 and 46 degrees Celsius across the country.
