Iraq's higher education ministry to open transfer, guest student portal on July 1

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research said the electronic form for university transfer and guest student applications will go live on Wednesday, July 1, ahead of the 2026-2027 academic year. According to ministry documents, applications will be submitted through a dedicated online platform for transfers and guest students, covering both morning and evening study programs under existing regulations and instructions. The move launches the formal timetable for students seeking to change institutions or programs after the conclusion of the central university placement process. The ministry said the platform will be the only channel for receiving applications and that submissions filed after the deadline will not be considered.
