BAGHDAD, Iraq โ The Iraq Coordination Framework, a bloc of Iran-aligned political parties, held a meeting on Monday at the office of Badr Organization Secretary-General Hadi al-Amiri.
Attendees included Head of the Higher Judicial Council Faiq Zeydan and Prime Minister Ali al-Zydani. The agenda covered anti-corruption efforts and the prevention of waste in public resources, according to a statement from the framework.
The bloc's leaders reiterated their support for the government and judicial processes pursuing corruption cases. With the legislative recess ending, they called on the Iraqi Parliament to activate oversight mechanisms and pass key legislation.
The meeting also addressed preparations for the funeral ceremony of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, with the framework renewing its call for broad public participation.
