Iraq's Artawi gas project targets 300 million cubic feet per day, undersecretary says

BASRA, Iraq — Iraq's Oil Ministry undersecretary for gas affairs, Izzat Sabir Ismail, said the ministry's Artawi field project is a key part of its strategic plans and is designed to support the energy sector and reduce emissions by processing associated gas. Speaking during a field inspection in Basra, Ismail said the first phase aims to process 300 million standard cubic feet of gas per day from the Artawi, West Qurna 2 and Majnoon fields. He said work should continue according to the set timetable to secure energy supply and improve services.
