KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait โ Iraq was the fifth-largest destination for Kuwait's non-oil exports in March 2026, with purchases valued at 5.24 million Kuwaiti dinars, according to data from Kuwait's Central Statistical Bureau. Saudi Arabia led the list at 26.52 million dinars, followed by the United Arab Emirates at 17.14 million dinars, Jordan at 7.51 million dinars and India at 7.47 million dinars.
Kuwait's overall trade balance recorded a surplus of 1.768 billion dinars in the first quarter of 2026, down 30.6 percent from the same period in 2025. Official figures attributed the decline to decreases in exports, imports and total trade volume.
The data pointed to a broader slowdown in Kuwait's trade flows with regional partners, even as Iraq maintained its position among the top buyers of Kuwaiti non-oil goods.
