Iraq PM orders improved medical care for Hashd al-Shaabi wounded

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Prime Minister Ali Felah al-Zeydi has directed government agencies to strengthen health services and follow up on the cases of Hashd al-Shaabi fighters wounded in operations, his office said. In his capacity as prime minister and commander-in-chief of the armed forces, al-Zeydi met with a group of wounded Hashd al-Shaabi members and reviewed their medical conditions. During the meeting, al-Zeydi praised the sacrifices of Hashd al-Shaabi personnel in counterterrorism efforts and the liberation of Iraqi territory, according to the statement. He stressed that the government is committed to safeguarding the rights of wounded fighters and the families of those killed, and to ensuring they receive proper care. The prime minister also called for the files of wounded Hashd al-Shaabi members to receive priority attention, with the best available health services provided in recognition of their role in defending Iraq's security and stability, the statement added.
