Iraq forecasts cooler weather, says spring conditions persist in two provinces

BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Meteorological Directorate said on Monday that temperatures are expected to drop over the coming days, with spring conditions continuing in two provinces. In a statement, the directorate said skies will be generally clear on Tuesday, with northwesterly winds blowing at light to moderate speeds and reaching up to 30 kilometers per hour in eastern parts of the central and southern regions.
The directorate said temperatures on Tuesday will be close to Monday's levels, with similar conditions expected to continue into Wednesday. On Wednesday, temperatures in central and southern Iraq are forecast to fall by a few degrees, while northern regions will remain at the same level as the previous day.
Thursday is expected to bring continued light to moderate northwesterly winds, with temperatures across Iraq broadly unchanged from Wednesday. The directorate added that Tuesday's highs will range between 39ยฐC and 47ยฐC nationwide.
