BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq’s General Authority for Meteorological Forecasting said parts of the country will be affected by dusty weather waves over the next four days. It said the outlook includes changing temperatures between the north, center and south.
On Wednesday, the center and south are expected to see partly clear skies, while the north will have partly cloudy weather. Winds may occasionally reach 40 kilometers per hour, raising dust in some areas.
The authority said temperatures will rise slightly in the north and south on Wednesday, while remaining broadly similar in the central region. The highest readings are forecast at 46 degrees Celsius in Basra and Maysan, 45 in Dhi Qar, and 44 in Najaf and Muthanna.
It said Thursday will be generally clear with lower temperatures, while Friday is expected to bring partly cloudy conditions and a slight further drop in temperatures across the center and south.
