BAGHDAD, Iraq โ€” Iraq's Ministry of Education announced it will continue enforcing strict penalties against cheating in general examination centers, according to a written statement from the General Directorate of Exams and Assessment. The ministry said attacks or threats against exam center administrators, commission members or supervisors would be treated as serious violations. Students found guilty of such violations would fail the exam, be barred from general examinations for two years and face legal proceedings. Identity fraud carries separate penalties depending on exam type: morning session students face a one-year ban, evening students a two-year ban and external candidates a five-year ban. All violations would be recorded in official records, and the ministry stated it would continue enforcing guidelines to protect exam integrity and ensure fairness among students.
