BAGHDAD, Iraq โ€” Iraq's General Customs Authority has begun accepting reports, complaints and information from the public about operations at customs centers and border crossings across the country, according to a statement from the agency's Director General, Thamer Kasim Daoud. The statement said the move follows government instructions to establish direct communication channels with citizens and strengthen transparency within state institutions. It called on all citizens, employees and relevant parties to report corruption, blackmail, irregularities, dereliction of duty and any activity that violates laws in force. The authority said all submissions will be handled in full confidentiality and forwarded to the competent authorities to initiate legal and administrative proceedings. It added that joint work with inspection, security and judicial bodies will continue. The statement emphasized that efforts to cut off the sources of corruption will be sustained.
