Iran’s security chief warns Israel against further strikes on its infrastructure

TEHRAN, Iran — Iran’s National Security Council secretary warned Israel on Friday that it would not remain safe if it launched further attacks on Iranian infrastructure. Speaking to Iranian media, Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr said "the Zionist entity that stands behind hostile actions will not escape our response." Zolqadr has previously stressed that any attack targeting Iranian infrastructure would be met with a similar response. The remarks come amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran. The U.S. conducted airstrikes against Iran overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, and Iran retaliated against targets in Bahrain and Kuwait. Reports over the past two days said Washington has struck various sites inside Iran again. No immediate response from Israel was reported.
