TEHRAN, Iran โ Iran's Health Ministry said 35 people have been killed and 300 wounded since US strikes on southern Iran began. Ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour had earlier reported more than 260 wounded in the latest wave of US air strikes, and the updated toll exceeds figures from previous escalations.
The Iranian army said seven of its soldiers were killed in recent US strikes on southeastern Iran. The army described the operation as an escalation that could undermine the existing understanding between Washington and Tehran.
US President Donald Trump told Fox News that US strikes would be expanded next week to include power plants and bridges if Tehran does not reach an agreement. No further details on a potential deal were immediately available.
