Iran drones strike KDPI bases in Kurdistan Region, party official says

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Iranian forces launched a series of drone strikes against bases, headquarters and camps of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (KDPI) inside the Kurdistan Region early Wednesday, a party official said. Karim Pervizi, a KDPI official, said the attacks were carried out from two directions between 2:00 a.m. and 2:40 a.m. He said three drones hit a camp in Bilisan, striking the party headquarters, while drones targeting the Jianikan camp were intercepted midair before reaching their objective. No casualties were reported. Pervizi added that since the latest round of clashes began, Iranian ballistic missile and drone strikes on KDPI headquarters, family camps, and health and education centers have exceeded 156. Separately, the Kurdistan Region's Counter-Terrorism Unit said earlier the same day that a U.S.-led coalition air defense system had intercepted 10 armed drones over Erbil province.
