Iran denies reports of attack on Bushehr nuclear plant

TEHRAN, Iran — Iran's Atomic Energy Organization on Saturday rejected reports that the Bushehr nuclear power plant had been targeted in an attack, saying the facility continues to operate under "normal, secure and stable" conditions with all units functioning as planned. Bushehr Governor Mohammad Mozaffari said U.S. forces struck four locations in the city, with ten projectiles hitting those sites. He said initial checks found no casualties or injuries. Mozaffari added that relevant agencies were still investigating the circumstances of the strikes and any possible damage. U.S. Central Command announced it had completed a third round of airstrikes against Iran in response to Iranian attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Located on the Gulf coast, Bushehr is Iran's first and largest nuclear facility, built with Russian technical assistance.
