MOSUL, Iraq โ Civil defense teams in Nineveh extinguished a fire that broke out in agricultural land near a large chicken farm in the town of Bartle, east of Mosul, according to the Nineveh Civil Defense Directorate. The fire started in grass and farmland surrounding the farm, and firefighters prevented it from reaching the buildings.
Operations were carried out with support from the Bartle Civil Defense Center, the Bartle Sewerage Directorate and the Baโshiqa Water Department, the directorate said. Crews fully extinguished the flames before they could spread to the farm itself.
The directorate confirmed that the farm, which houses about 70,000 chickens, was fully saved and that no significant livestock losses were reported. No further details on the cause of the fire were immediately available.
