European natural gas prices jump 11% on ICE exchange

LONDON โ European natural gas prices rose sharply on Monday evening, climbing about 11% to reach $734 per thousand cubic meters, according to ICE exchange data from London.
On the Dutch TTF benchmark, September futures opened at $670.10, with intraday lows of $666.40 and highs of $740.80. The dayโs reference price reached $734.4, marking a 10.8% increase from the previous settlement of $662.6.
The TTF index, Europeโs largest gas distribution hub, has shown notable volatility in recent months. Average exchange prices in March were up roughly 60% from February, exceeding $600 per thousand cubic meters. By late July, calculated prices had risen about 20% from June to around $637.5 per thousand cubic meters.
