BAGHDAD, Iraq — BAGHDAD — A drone strike targeted an electricity generation station in Zawiya, west of the Libyan capital Tripoli, knocking several production units offline, the state-run General Electricity Company said. The company said technicians were working to restore power gradually and expected supply to return to normal within hours. Libyan sources said the facility hit was the Hur-sha power plant in Zawiya. The attack came days after the same company reported that a strike on a transformer station south of the city had caused widespread power outages across the area. Earlier attacks in Zawiya last week also targeted oil infrastructure, including fuel storage tanks at a site housing Libya's largest active refinery. No group has claimed responsibility for the strikes. No further details were immediately available on casualties or damage assessments.
