Doctor arrested in Maysan on drug trafficking charges

Officers seized one kilogram of crystal narcotics during a search of the suspect's vehicle. Investigators determined that the suspect, who was carrying a driver identification but holds a medical title, resides in Baghdad. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and the suspect is to be referred to judicial authorities, according to the same sources. Officials said inspections aimed at preventing drug smuggling at checkpoints in the province will continue.
