Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Qatar 3-1 in a 2026 World Cup group-stage match, recording its first win of the tournament. Karim Alajbegovic opened the scoring in the 29th minute, before Qatar's Sultan Al-Birik extended Bosnia's lead with an own goal in the 34th. Hasan Al-Haydos pulled one back for Qatar in the 42nd minute, but Ermin Mahmic sealed the result in the 81st.
The result lifted Bosnia to third place in Group B with four points, while Qatar finished with one point and was eliminated. In the group's other match on the same day, Switzerland beat Canada 2-1 with goals from Ruben Vargas in the 46th minute, Johan Manzambi in the 57th and Promise David in the 76th.
Switzerland finished top of Group B with seven points, ahead of Canada on four. Both Switzerland and Canada advanced to the round of 32, as did Bosnia, with all three progressing from the group.
