MOSCOW, Russia โ Divers have recovered the body of Russian actor Alexander Vysokovsky from the Oka River in the Moscow region, the Tass news agency reported, citing operational services. The Moscow Region Prosecutor's Investigative Committee said it has opened a preliminary inquiry into the death.
According to the committee, police received a missing-person report on June 30 concerning a man born in 1963. Investigators were told the individual had gone fishing with his son near Pushchino, drifted downstream and did not return.
Investigative teams, working alongside divers and search-and-rescue crews from Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations, continued their work at the scene. No further details on the cause of death were immediately available.
Vysokovsky, 62, was known for playing Maks Karelski in the television series "Brigada." He also appeared in the film "Bumer" and the series "Marsh Turetskogo," among other productions.
