Basra Police Detain 23 in Shatt al-Arab Security Operation

Basra police detained 23 individuals during a security operation targeting the Shatt al-Arab waterfront in the city's southern district. Officers from the Al-Ashar police center conducted the sweep, arresting suspects on charges including narcotics possession, harassment, and public indecency. Security forces reported the seizure of narcotics from two suspects during the operation. The arrests also included foreign nationals found to be in violation of residency and legal regulations. All detainees have been processed, and legal proceedings have been initiated in accordance with current Iraqi law.
