SULAYMANIYAH, Iraq โ The Bashmakh International Border Crossing has resumed passenger and trade movements after a technical fault in the electronic system on the Iranian side was resolved, the crossing's administration said. In a statement, the administration said the issue on the Iranian side had been fully fixed and that operations had returned to their normal flow.
Passenger crossings and commercial activity at Bashmakh are operating as usual, with the crossing continuing to receive travelers from 07:30 to 21:00, as in previous days, according to the administration.
Bashmakh is one of the main border crossings between Iraq and Iran and handles heavy passenger and commercial traffic between the two countries.
