Baku, Azerbaijan โ An Azerbaijani citizen has discovered an abnormal balance of $21.8 billion in their bank account in Turkey, prompting the bank to block the account. The balance appeared as 999 billion 999 million Turkish liras when viewed by bank employees.
A person using the name Takalu told NTV that their payment card was rejected at a store, and upon visiting the bank branch, they learned the account had been frozen for approximately one month. Bank officials described the situation as an abnormal balance.
Takalu said they had no knowledge about the source of the funds and could not obtain an explanation from the bank. They added that AI tools indicated the amount could finance major infrastructure projects or purchase significant quantities of gold. However, they said they remain unable to cover their daily expenses.
